Top News & Magazines Apps in Mexico: Q2 2025 Performance

In the second quarter of 2025, the top news and magazines applications in Mexico showed varied performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active user metrics. This analysis, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides insights into the digital landscape for these apps.

X (Formerly Twitter) had a notable presence with weekly revenue peaking at around $36K at the start of April, followed by a slight decline to approximately $27K by the end of June. Weekly downloads fluctuated, reaching a high of about 179K mid-May, while weekly active users varied, peaking at 19.1M in April before declining to 17.4M by the quarter's end.

Noticias Locales from NEWSDELIVER LIMITED experienced steady weekly revenue, hovering around $50. Downloads started strong at 44K in March, dipped mid-quarter, and rose again to 34K by June's end. Active users showed a consistent increase, starting at 805K and reaching 831K.

Another Noticias Locales app from YING LIANG HK LIMITED, despite not generating revenue, had download peaks at 55K in late April. However, it saw a decline towards the end of the quarter.

Quick News had a modest revenue performance, with earnings mostly under $50 weekly. Downloads showed a sharp drop from 61K at the end of March to negligible numbers by mid-June. Active users decreased from 88K to around 70K by the quarter's close.

Alerta Sísmica México - SASSLA witnessed a significant spike in downloads in late April, reaching 75K. Weekly revenue started at $3.7K and declined to around $1.9K. Active users peaked impressively at 1.95M in late April before normalizing to 200K by June.
